Subject – Trouble Refreshing Borrowers
I’ve spent hours trying to find answers but all I can find is old information which is quite useless as the steps are quite different now eg. not using discs to refresh and such.
Although I’m very familiar with OASIS, I’ve never done the refreshing of students/staff so I would really love some help here
So, we’ve done the B4 – R3 refresh students and all seems fine? then Esc back and do the B2 and the new students aren’t showing up? All there is are the details of pre-existing borrowers but no new borrowers?
If I’m correct, shouldn’t the new students (starting alphabetically) be there so we can then go in and edit their details? Or am I missing something? I would REALLY appreciate any help with this.
Thank you in advance

Hi Kathleen,
Iam not sure but it could be something to do with OASIS Admin. Are the staff and students on there first? There may be an answer on the blog somewhere but you may not another reply here.It depends on users. However, you could try the TL Listserv. Will keep looking. John, Bega High

Hi John,
Thank you for the quick reply. I checked everything out in OASIS admin and couldn’t find any problems, the students were in there. Through a long process of elimination I found that the new students (5 in total that were missing) had been refreshed BUT somehow their barcodes were incorrect and the zero was the letter o. Perhaps the fill-in teacher had gone in there and changed it if that’s even possible?because she was becoming quite frustrated trying to work it out.
Well I had printed out your “Edit borrower details” post thinking it would come in handy and sure enough I was able to go in and fix the offending barcodes and all seems to be fine now. Thank you very much on both counts
