I am planning to set up a new location: “Series”. When I do this I am going
to transfer all my major series books (eg Rainbow Magic from Junior Fiction,
Goosebumps from Senior Fiction, Horrible Histories from Non-Fiction) into
the Series location. However, I have a couple of questions.
When I am editing the details of all these books, I’ll have to change a
couple of things in General Resources. For example, “Classification”. Should
I leave this as “F” for the books which used to be in JF and SF and leave
the Dewey numbers in for what used to be the NF? Or will this muck up a
future stocktake? Should I just put them all as “F”?
Also, what should I put for “loan category” in my series location? F or G?

Classification F or Dewey Number
Suffix: as per record.
Stocktake the area from SER 000 AAA to SER ZZZ ZZZ will include all F & NF
series items.
Loan category doesn’t matter if it’s G or F
