There were quite a few emails awaiting me this morning requesting copies of the “Overdues in shelf list order” reports that I designed/cannibalised. So I have decided to post them to the listserv for anyone who is interested. The reports are LIBRARY11Y and 11Z. If you haven’t downloaded reports to OASIS via thin client before there are instructions on how to do so on the “How to” pages from the Citrix page at https://detwww.det.nsw.edu.au/it/schoolsystems/projects/thin_client/data/thin_client_imp/documentation/howtos/word/how_to_transfer_reports.pdf
Note that this page is an intranet page and therefore only accessible via school

Overdue mail merge
Posted by bhs on February 26, 2010
Many people seem to be having problems with getting the merge file across when trying to do the Message to family (B2 B2). Here is a way of checking that your overdue list has gone across.
When you go through the B2 B2 process, the 3rd step (after the “least number of days” & Loan Category) you need to enter the name of your Mailmerg File – I call mine “overdues”. You then continue on and print the overdue slips. To check that your Mailmerg File exists, in OASIS now go to J2 (Explorer) and double click on the Mailmerg folder. There should be a text file called overdues, this is your mailmerg list that you use in the letter. When you are having to browse to find this text file to merge with your letter you have to look for it in the Mailmerg file in the K drive.
Remember if you have done this process before successfully you will be alerted to the fact the file already exists and you will be prompted to Overwrite which will replace the “old” with the new”.
